Not Sure I’d Be Able To Control Myself

A calendar made out of bubble wrap? Genius. But maybe hang it at home, not at work. I’d be shocked if random people walking by in the office could contain their excitement. It’s like putting a button on your desk that says “push me” and expecting nobody to push it.

A great thing about working in the business news department is that we’re right next to the features office. Those guys are always getting weird product samples, and the packaging is increasingly more inventive. About a month ago we received a box of inedible delightful Pringles Stix. Anytime you opened the package it would start making a crunching noise. So I removed the paperweight-sized noisemaker inside and put it next to my desk. Nearly everyone who walks by picks it up and gets startled by the crunching.

So yeah, bubble wrap calendar? Neat idea, but you’d have to be a Zen master to have the patience to let that thing hang near human beings.
