Ridiculous Way To Spend $5 Billion To $8 Billion
According to the New York Times, late real estate magnate Leona Helmsley left “instructions, specified in a two-page ‘mission statement,’ [that her] entire trust, valued at $5 billion to $8 billion and amounting to virtually all her estate, be used for the care and welfare of dogs.”
As I was reading yesterday, Disney bought Pixar for $7.4 billion. The current market value of General Motors is about $6.5 billion.
This lady left about that much money to take care of dogs. Dogs.
